Qualifications

• Experience as a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser within a fashion retail environment.
• Strong analytical, numerical and forecasting skills.
• Experience in stock planning, range building, intake management and Open-to-Buy.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience using merchandising systems.
• Leadership or mentoring experience would be an advantage.

We're working with an exciting, trend-inspiring fashion brand that is looking to appoint a talented Merchandiser or an ambitious Junior Merchandiser ready to take the next step in their career.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial success of your product categories, ensuring the right styles land at the right time, in the right quantities.

You’ll combine your love of fashion with strong analytical skills, using sales performance, customer insight and emerging trends to influence product decisions and drive results.

What You'll Be Doing

• Driving sales, margin and profitability through effective range planning, forecasting and stock management.
• Working closely with Buying and Product Development teams to create exciting, commercially successful collections.
• Identifying emerging fashion trends, customer buying patterns and opportunities to maximise sales.
• Managing seasonal plans, stock intake, availability and replenishment to ensure strong product performance.
• Analysing weekly trading results, identifying bestsellers and taking decisive action on slower-moving lines.
• Managing Open-to-Buy budgets, stock levels and markdown strategies to maximise profitability.
• Supporting promotional activity and reacting quickly to changes in customer demand.
• Monitoring competitor activity, market developments and store performance to stay ahead of trends.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
• Coaching and developing the Allocator team, encouraging a collaborative and high-performing culture.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a commercially sharp analytical Merchandiser who thrives in a fast-moving environment and loves being close to the product.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience as a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser within a fashion retail environment.
• A genuine passion for fashion, trends, product and the customer.
• Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to make trading decisions.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and forecasting skills.
• Experience in stock planning, range building, intake management and Open-to-Buy.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using merchandising systems.
