Job summary

CPM is seeking Merchandisers to cover the Basingstoke area. The role involves 8–10 hours per week with potential to increase during busy periods, paid £15.07 per hour PAYE with holiday pay. Start within two weeks after onboarding and training, with flexible shifts Monday to Sunday and fixed days on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

You’ll visit a mix of stores, set up POS materials, and ensure products are displayed to planograms. Use your own car for travel and reporting via our app with photos.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or merchandising is preferred.
• Own a car and be able to travel within 10 miles of Basingstoke.
• Available Monday to Sunday with fixed visits on Tue, Thu and Sat.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work independently.
• Good communication with store staff and builder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and set up POS materials.
• Navigate fixtures (gondolas, bays, shelving) confidently.
• Merchandise products according to planograms.
• Keep displays stocked and visually appealing to drive sales.
• Arrange and top up products on shelves, negotiating extra display space when possible.
• Some stock movement and lifting may be involved.
• Report via app with photos and clear feedback.

Job description

We are looking for Merchandisers in the Basingstoke area. Approx 8 - 10 hours per week* (However likely to increase during busy periods) £15.07 p/h PAYE including holiday pay. Start within 2 weeks after onboarding and training with long-term, ongoing work available. Flexible working across Monday to Sunday with some fixed days - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ideal experience would be in retail or merchandising - health & beauty would be beneficial - supporting new launches, refreshes, or promotional activity. Use of a car is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visit a mix of high street, grocery, and convenience stores to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and set up point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Confidently navigating fixtures (e.g. gondolas, bays, shelving)
• Merchandise products in line with agreed planograms.
• Make sure as much stock as possible is out on shelves to help drive sales and keep displays looking great.
• Arrange and top up products on shelves and displays so they’re eye-catching and easy for customers to find.
• Where possible, negotiate extra display space to help boost sales.
• Some stock moving and lifting may be involved from time to time.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally, experience in retail or merchandising.
• Experience in retailers such as Boots, department stores, or premium beauty chains is desirable.
• Someone who is available Monday to Sunday. We do have fixed visits to be completed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• Someone reliable, adaptable, and happy working independently.
• Confident talking to store staff and building good in-store relationships.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Use your own car, as you may need to carry promotional materials or small displays (these may be delivered and stored to your home).
• Use of a phone or tablet to complete reporting on our app — this includes sending clear photos and sharing useful feedback.
