Job description

A Mercedes-Benz Apprentice/Express Technician will work under the supervision of an experienced master or senior technician where they can increase their knowledge and skills to progress to a Mercedes-Benz Technician.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Learns to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs under supervision.
  2. Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed.
  3. Works with Service Consultants to communicate vehicle needs and proper repairs.
  4. Collaborates with Team Leads to complete assigned work.
  5. Completes work efficiently using lean production methods.
  6. Keeps work areas neat, clean, and organized.
  7. Maintains shop equipment and tools, returning them after use.
  8. Attends training classes and departmental meetings.
  9. Operates tools and equipment safely.
SKILLS / REASONING ABILITY / PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications. Demonstrates professional interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, and co-workers, leading to high customer satisfaction. Maintains a positive, supportive team environment. Capable of problem-solving in complex or ill-defined situations.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, ETC.
  • Basic knowledge of automobiles.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with auto industry and Mercedes-Benz products is recommended.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
