Job summary

Smart 4 EPC in West London is seeking an experienced MEP Site Agent on a contract basis to lead site activities on complex infrastructure works around critical live assets.

You will manage safety, quality and cost control, coordinate procurement, and act as the main client contact while developing plans under a long-term framework.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience in construction, ideally in an MEP or civil engineering role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Commercial and contractual awareness with experience in cost-conscious environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP engineering and related projects.
• Computer literate and proficient with standard software.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Membership of the ICE or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage all site activities and take ownership of safe, successful project delivery.
• Drive strong commercial performance and maintain effective cost control.
• Deliver works safely, without environmental incidents, and to quality standards free from defects.
• Develop and implement project and management plans in line with company procedures.
• Prepare procurement schedules and work with the procurement team to ensure resources are in place.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, maintaining strong working relationships.
• Identify and promote value engineering and efficiency opportunities.
• Keep accurate site diaries and records.
• Produce monthly reports for the client and internal stakeholders.
• Chair weekly site meetings.

MEP Site Agent (Contract)

Location: West London, close to a major international airport

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading construction contractor with a long-standing presence on a major UK transport hub, delivering complex infrastructure projects to high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance. Working under a long-term framework, they deliver design and build projects across both airside and landside areas, including pavement rehabilitation, critical utilities replacement and the redevelopment of operational areas. The programme is ongoing, with further major resurfacing works in planning. Work is carefully planned around critical live assets, with close engagement across a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Valid CSCS card
• Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent (desirable)
