Job summary

Criterion Capital is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services across office-to-hotel conversion projects. You will manage full lifecycle from design to handover, ensuring safety, quality and programme compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in MEP project management, site management, or building services delivery roles within main contractors or developers
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering (or related field)
• Proven experience delivering MEP packages, ideally within hospitality, commercial conversions, or residential projects
• Strong understanding of MEP installation, commissioning, and handover processes
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on-site
• Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously while maintaining quality and programme targets
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the delivery of MEP packages across multiple projects, ensuring systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are installed in line with design, programme, and budget requirements
• Lead coordination between design teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project
• Oversee MEP contractors and supply chain partners, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance with project objectives
• Act as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related site activities, providing regular updates to senior project stakeholders and clients
• Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure design intent is maintained throughout delivery and any site issues are resolved efficiently
• Manage MEP construction programmes, monitoring progress and proactively mitigating risks to ensure timely project completion
• Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations
• Review and manage MEP-related RFIs, technical submissions, and shop drawings, ensuring timely approvals and alignment with project requirements
• Ensure all MEP works comply with local building regulations, health and safety standards, and hospitality-specific operational requirements
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are fully operational and handed over to required standards
• Manage the procurement process for MEP packages, including reviewing tenders and supporting contractor and supplier selection
• Monitor and control MEP budgets, identifying risks and opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality and performance
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented throughout installation and commissioning phases
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change management records, and as-built information
• Drive continuous improvement across MEP delivery processes within the business
