Job summary

Meridian is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to work on complex M&E projects for a leading consultancy across the UK. You will manage cost value and profitability at multiple project stages, liaising with clients and internal teams to meet delivery targets.

The ideal candidate has completed RICS or an equivalent course, strong communication skills, and solid MS Office capabilities. The role offers progression, competitive salary, and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Managing the value and cost of complex M&E projects at various stages of project delivery.
• Focal point for communications between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to meet supply and delivery targets.
• Delivering profitability on assigned projects and meeting targets and time demands.
• Managing risk and change processes.
• Working with legal teams to create agreements and contract documentation.
• Providing commercial advice and support to the client, ensuring quality.
• Produce client applications and cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Establish and grow professional networks within the Built Environment.
• Implement and monitor administrative and management systems to support project controls.
• Monitor and manage compliance with commercial agreements and administration.
• Present in regular project cost reports and risk meetings.

Duties include:

• Managing the value and cost of complex M&E projects at various stages of project delivery
• Being the focal point for effective communicationsbetween clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to meet supply and delivery targets
• Delivering profitability on assigned project(s) and working with others to ensuretargets and time demands are met
• Managing risk and changeprocesses
• Working with legal teams to create agreements and contract documentation
• Providing commercial advice and support to the client, making sure quality is never compromised
• Produce client applications and cost value reconciliations (CVRs)
• Establish and grow both your and the consultancies professional network within the Built Environment
• Implement and monitor administrative and management systems to supportexisting project control systems
• Monitor and manage compliance with commercial agreements and administration
• Present in regular project cost reports and risk meetings

Requirements for the role:

• Already completed RICS or equivalent course - this is not an entry-level/trainee grade role
• Experience specifically within commercial M&E projects and building services, and an understanding of pre-construction as well as project delivery (at various stages)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer-literacy and MS Office capability
• Ability to work with others and in team environments, with an emphasis on problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Excellent presentation skills in verbal and written formats
