Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is hiring an experienced MEP Project Manager with an electrical bias for a major data centre project in Blyth, United Kingdom. The role requires at least 7 years of MEP project management or building services coordination, with a strong electrical focus and proven ability to manage subcontractors and design teams.

You will oversee the complete delivery cycle, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in MEP project management or building services coordination.
• Strong electrical bias with knowledge of electrical installations and broader MEP services.
• Main contractor experience preferred.
• Experience on large-scale commercial/industrial or data centre projects is advantageous.
• Excellent IT and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all phases of the MEP services project delivery cycle from pre-construction to commissioning.
• Coordinate design team information to meet project delivery requirements.
• Ensure delivery of MEP services with a focus on electrical services to high standards.
• Maintain health and safety across all MEP works.
• Inspect installation works against the quality plan and approvals.
• Monitor programmes and progress of MEP installations.
• Coordinate and manage MEP subcontractors to align with specs and schedules.
• Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors and project team for successful delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with relevant stakeholders to minimise delays.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover in line with project requirements.
