Mech Electrics Limited, a leading Building Services contractor, seeks a Pre-Construction Manager in Manchester to shape projects before site work begins. You will develop technically robust, commercially viable schemes and coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams to agree delivery strategies.

Applicants should bring a strong mechanical or electrical building services background, experience across complex MEP projects and a collaborative approach to coordination across design,

Qualifications

• From a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services background with proven delivery of complex MEP projects.
• Experience coordinating across Design, Commercial and Operations teams.
• Contractor or consultancy backgrounds considered if interfacing with contractors.
• Strong ability to review technical submissions and develop delivery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction process from enquiry through mobilisation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand objectives and technical requirements.
• Coordinate design, commercial and operations teams during tender and negotiation.
• Review specifications, drawings and technical submissions.
• Develop construction methodologies and delivery strategies.
• Identify value engineering and buildability improvements.
• Support procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement.
• Assist with programming, sequencing and mobilisation.
• Identify risks before construction begins.
• Attend client meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure smooth transition from pre-construction to live delivery.
