Job summary

MiCiM is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to join our expert team in the UK, based in Reading. You will coordinate design, installation, testing and commissioning of mission-critical facilities, leading on-site mechanical and electrical activities and ensuring quality, safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in large-scale MEP delivery.
• Proven track record as MEP Manager on data centres or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to lead cross-trade interfaces and drive performance.
• Strong communication and representation of MiCiM to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical activities on-site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of MEP packages.
• Review designs, method statements, and submittals to ensure client specifications and data centre standards are met.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and drive issue resolution to maintain schedule and cost performance.
• Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Act as key MEP point of contact with the client, project management team and stakeholders.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to MiCiM and HSE requirements.

You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating MEP design, installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring quality, safety and performance standards are achieved throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical activities on-site
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of MEP packages.
• Review technical designs, method statements, and submittals to ensure compliance with client specifications and data centre standards.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and drive issue resolution to maintain schedule and cost performance.

About You

• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with hands‑on experience in large‑scale MEP delivery.
• Proven track record as an MEP Manager, or similar role on data centres, high‑tech, pharmaceutical, or other mission‑critical projects..
• Able to manage complex interfaces between trades and drive performance in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong communicator with the confidence to lead meetings, engage stakeholders, and represent MiCiM professionally.
