Job summary

Kier Group's KME team is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to oversee design solutions across multiple schemes in the South West. The role offers flexible location within the South West and a 37.5-hour week with some flexibility.

You will lead design and drawing activities, coordinate external design teams and BIM resources, and ensure CDM compliance and quality assurance while maintaining client relationships and reporting progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an MEP design manager for a main or Tier 1 MEP contractor.
• Proven experience delivering multiple medium or large complex schemes with strong MEPH understanding.
• Proven leadership of teams with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• CSCS card and understanding of JCT/NEC contracts.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong organisational skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and working drawing activities to meet budgets, scope and programme.
• Lead design safety reviews and CDM compliance in the design process.
• Manage external design teams and BIM resources with clear scopes.
• Implement QA processes and ensure technical compliance with engineers and consultants.
• Build client relationships and provide clear design status reports.
