Kier Group is seeking an MEP Design Manager for a major project at HMP Channings Wood, Newton Abbot.

The role primarily involves MEP Design delivery for this project, with potential involvement across the wider region.

Location

Newton Abbot, South Devon.

Contract

Full-time, Permanent. Flexible working arrangements available.

Responsibilities

• Support profitable tender generation and submission, enhancing order pipeline, and increasing market share, revenue, and profit.
• Provide MEP design solutions that meet customer requirements, identify/manage risks, and seek value engineering opportunities to maximize gross profit.
• Implement Kier Group policies (SHE, risk management, solution design) and promote company values to align with customer expectations.
• Oversee design activities, collaborate with project management and construction teams, and support a workplace culture focused on employee wellbeing and career development.

Candidate Profile

This role suits candidates with:

• Design Management experience within contracting or consultancy environments.
• Experience managing MEP Design.
• Exposure to various contract types, such as JCT and NEC.
