Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a senior MEP Design Lead in North Wales, offering a hands-on role shaping residential living design. You will lead from the front across major projects, mentoring a team of engineers and guiding design decisions.

You'll coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health designs, review technical submissions, and ensure buildability, value, and compliance. The role combines leadership with design excellence in a stable, long-term programme.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ experience in building services design.
• Strong commercial awareness to balance performance with cost.
• Desire to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP design process across projects (£2–15m).
• Coordinate MEP with architectural, structural and subcontractor packages and ensure integration.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and design proposals for accuracy, compliance and buildability.
• Provide leadership and guidance to design team members, consultants and wider project teams.
