Job summary

NRL is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager (MEP) to provide technical oversight of MEP works on shafts, headhouses and portal buildings in Rickmansworth. You will ensure adherence to approved designs, inspections plans, commissioning strategies and quality documentation throughout construction and commissioning.

You will collaborate across civil, structural, architectural and MEP interfaces, conduct site audits, manage interfaces, and escalate technical or safety issues while supporting

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Construction Assurance, Construction Manager, Site Manager or Project Engineer roles.
• Strong background in MEP delivery within large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience assuring installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and public health systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction assurance and technical oversight of MEP works across shafts, headhouses, and portal buildings.
• Ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications, standards and project requirements.
• Review installation methodologies, ITPs, commissioning plans and quality documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify compliance with contractual obligations and regulations.
• Manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance reviews across construction and commissioning stages.
• Identify and escalate technical, quality, safety or programme issues and support handovers.
