Job summary

The Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture HS2 project is seeking an experienced commercial administrator to support the MEP commercial package manager. The role emphasizes strong communication, customer-facing skills, and teamwork to promote the JV culture and values.

The ideal candidate will gather information, identify root causes, develop practical solutions, communicate findings, and implement actions to resolve issues, with flexibility to discuss work-time arrangements in interviews.

Qualifications

• RICS/CICES accredited degree or equivalent
• Full Membership of RICS or CICES (preferred)
• Post-graduate commercial experience in construction with demonstrable achievements
• Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
• Experience drafting contractual correspondence & facilitating collaborative solutions
• Good legal, contractual and construction knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

• Main Contract management and administration
• Supply chain management and contract administration
• Commercial document control
• Cost capture and control including CLR
• Commercial reporting
• Planning and programme management
• Change control
• Measurement and project metrics reporting
• Assisting with cash management
• Liaison with customer’s commercial/project teams
• Maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting commercial manager with valuations and reports deadlines
• Implementing commercial procedures and reporting for compliance
• Maintain commercial records and address contractual issues
