Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd is seeking a Building Services Commercial Manager – Pre-Construction to lead MEP estimating and tender activities on high-value UK projects. You will work closely with clients, design teams, and subs to craft competitive submissions and profitable bids.

The role requires NEC experience, Chartered status or degree, and strong commercial and negotiation skills. Hybrid working options and a competitive benefits package are available across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Chartered status or degree or relevant practical experience.
• NEC experience is preferred.
• High levels of organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Confident decision-making ability.
• Experience in pre-construction MEP estimating and tender processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pre-Construction MEP Estimating for tender bids with internal/external clients.
• Ensure highly competitive, well-resourced MEP tender costs and quality submissions.
• Lead negotiations on MEP tenders, bids and proposals when directed.
• Price from first principles and procure subs/material quotes.
• Maintain compliance with management systems and pre-qualification of sub-contractors.
• Coordinate with Senior Management and various stakeholders during tender periods.
