Job summary

Crown House Technologies is recruiting a Senior MEP Commercial Manager to join the team delivering a major Data Centre project in Slough. You will take senior commercial responsibility across allocated MEP packages and work closely with project leadership and the client.

You will lead cost forecasting, risk & opportunity management, subcontract procurement, change control and final accounts, while providing contractual guidance.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• RICS membership desirable, though not essential.
• Significant commercial management experience within MEP/building services.
• Experience on data centres or major construction projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management across allocated MEP packages.
• Lead cost, forecasting, risk and opportunity management.
• Manage subcontract procurement, administration, change, accounts, claims and final accounts.
• Lead monthly cost reporting, commercial forecasting, contract reviews and MI.
• Identify, price and manage change throughout the delivery of the project.
• Provide senior commercial and contractual advice to project leadership.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring mitigation.
• Maintain strong commercial governance, controls and contract compliance.
• Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

The Opportunity: Crown House Technologies (CHt), the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O'Rourke, is recruiting an experienced Senior MEP Commercial Manager to join the team delivering a major Data Centre project in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to take senior commercial responsibility across allocated MEP packages, working closely with project leadership, the client and supply chain partners to support the successful delivery of the project. What will the Senior MEP Commercial Manager role look like?

• Lead commercial management across allocated MEP packages, taking ownership of commercial performance.
• Lead cost, forecasting, risk and opportunity management across your area of responsibility.
• Manage subcontract procurement, administration, change, accounts, claims and final accounts.
• Lead monthly cost reporting, commercial forecasting, contract reviews and management information.
• Identify, price and manage change throughout the delivery of the project.
• Provide senior commercial and contractual advice to project leadership.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate mitigation is implemented.
• Maintain strong commercial governance, controls and contract compliance.
• Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.

Are you an experienced Senior MEP Commercial Manager with strong commercial and contract management experience? Do you have experience leading the commercial management of complex MEP packages across major projects? Would you like to take on a senior commercial role delivering complex MEP works on a major data centre project in Slough?

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; RICS membership is desirable, though not essential.

• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
