Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited is seeking a CAD/BIM Technician to join its engineering team at the Heywood manufacturing facility. The role bridges design, engineering and manufacturing, developing detailed BIM models for off-site manufacture of complex MEP modules.

Ideal candidates have experience with MEP CAD, Revit and BIM coordination, or strong CAD backgrounds ready to develop BIM, DfMA and LOD 400 modelling capabilities in a growing, data centre & critical infrastructure context.

Qualifications

• Produce and develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models.
• Develop coordinated Mechanical and Electrical services layouts.
• Translate design intent into practical manufacturing information.
• Develop Revit models and fabrication-level information.
• Coordinate MEP services and identify clashes or buildability issues.
• Produce drawings, assemblies, schedules and associated technical information for manufacture.
• Work with Design, Engineering, Project and Manufacturing teams.
• Use feedback from the shop floor to improve drawings and models.
• Progress towards producing LOD 400 information for complex off-site manufactured MEP assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings, assemblies, schedules and associated technical information for manufacture.
• Work directly with Design, Engineering, Project and Manufacturing teams.
• Use feedback from the manufacturing floor to improve drawings and models.
• Support the development of BIM standards, component libraries and repeatable manufacturing solutions.
• Progress toward LOD 400 fabrication modelling in off-site assemblies.
