Job summary

Stantec in Leeds seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead and grow our MEP team within the education and healthcare sectors. You will drive project delivery, mentor engineers, and enhance client relationships while promoting a collaborative culture that values innovation.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree (HNC/HND/Bachelors/Masters) and are Chartered or progressing towards chartered status, with strong consultancy experience and a proven track record in building services projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading MEP teams and delivering complex building services projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and client management experience.
• Chartered engineer or working towards membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from inception to delivery.
• Ensure on‑time, on‑budget, high‑quality delivery meeting client specs.
• Mentor and develop the MEP team, drive design quality and safety governance.
• Support work-winning activity and client relationship building in education and healthcare sectors.
