Job summary

YTL UK is seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Assistant Construction Manager in Bristol to lead on-site project delivery. You will manage projects alongside the Construction Manager, oversee design checks, and drive cost, schedule, and quality across public and private sectors.

You will guide engineers, review BIM models, and coordinate tendering, contracts, and ISO documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project engineering, construction management, or similar delivery role.
• Experience in construction site environments and engineering design offices.
• Ability to lead, mentor and support junior engineers.
• Experience contributing to large and complex development projects.
• Knowledge of project costing, budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects while supporting the Construction Manager.
• Involved in the design, checking and calculation of solutions, ensuring all work meets project requirements, industry standards and quality expectations.
• Lead the technical and design input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained within the expected standard.
• Review BIM modelling using Navisworks for an accurate and workable design output.
• Prepare project costing, tender documents, tendering process, award and relevant contract administration matters.
• Provide training and guidance to project engineers and engineers.
• Fill up and maintain ISO documents as per audit requirements.
