Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a paediatric dietitian to join an established pan-Lanarkshire paediatric dietetic team based at University Hospital Wishaw. This permanent mentored post offers exposure to enteral feeding, general paediatrics, diabetes and opportunities to gain experience in gastroenterology, renal, neonatal, allergy and respiratory paediatric dietetics, while being supported by an experienced team.

The post is open to part-time or full-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with HCPC Registration.
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work with patients and carers, presenting complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess, manage, plan, deliver and evaluate nutrition care for patients within established protocols.
• Present complex information to patients and carers in an understandable form.
• Advise on prescribable nutritional products and ensure supplies reach patients through appropriate ordering systems.
• Keep accurate records of clinical interventions and outcomes.
