Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – Bath

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm

A school specialising in accommodating children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs is looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with behavioural and mental health issues.

  • Work with SEN students aged 4 to 11 to support their wellbeing and personal development.
  • Collaborate with therapists and psychologists based on-site at the school.
  • Build frontline, practical experience working with young people with significant SEMH needs.
  • Gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs such as Autism and ADHD.
The right candidate
  • Graduates qualified in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology, or with a strong educational background (GCSEs in Maths and English) plus prior experience as a Teaching Assistant for children with mental health issues.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEMH.
  • Resilient and confident to work with challenging behaviour.
