Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Woking is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our female low secure unit, Oaktree Ward. The role involves supporting nursing staff, assisting with admissions, assessments, and discharges, while focusing on dignity and safety. The position averages 38.5 hours per week with 12-hour shifts on a rota including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work with the MDT to support treatments and care plans.
• Support qualified nurses.
• Undertake safe observations of patients.
• Meet physical and emotional needs of service users with care.
• Support individual or group activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment.
• Work within safeguarding guidelines.
• Undertake training in de-escalation and PMVA techniques.
