Job summary

Look Ahead is recruiting a compassionate Support Worker for our Mental Health service in Redbridge. The role is 20 hours per week with a salary of £15,412 per annum. The service operates 24/7 with a focus on transforming lives and providing safe, supportive accommodation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector.
• Desirable: Experience working in mental health.

Responsibilities

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere.
• Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
• Conducting key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals.
• Ordering/storing and administering customers' medication; training and induction will be provided.
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks with a positive risk-taking approach.
• Providing support with daily living activities, including budgeting, cooking, and establishing a nightly routine.
• Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and personal hygiene.
