Job summary

Look Ahead Care Support and Housing is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for its Mental Health service in Redbridge. The role offers part-time hours (20 per week) with a salary of £15,412 per annum, pro-rated for part-time work. A flexible, supportive culture and development opportunities are highlighted.

You will join a 24/7 service operating with a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to positive outcomes and safe, person-centred care for service users.

Qualifications

• Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in social care or experience in social care/charity sector.
• Desirable: experience working in mental health.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere.
• Work with the team to manage the service caseload and administrative tasks.
• Conduct key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals.
• Order/store/administer customers' medication; training provided.
• Assess and manage risks with a positive risk-taking approach.
• Assist with daily living activities and budgeting, cooking, routines.
• Help maintain a healthy living environment and personal hygiene.
