The students, aged 11 to 18, come from diverse backgrounds and have notable social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Many have experienced adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and exhibit anti-social behaviors. The role involves providing 1:1 support and guidance to help pupils regulate their thoughts and process emotions healthily.

This classroom-based position involves collaborating with teachers and mental health professionals to engage and support students, identify triggers related to trauma and psychological needs, and assist with classwork to meet academic and emotional milestones.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain experience in mental health and wellbeing support. You will learn and help implement therapeutic techniques and apply your psychological or criminological knowledge in practical scenarios.

We are looking for a caring, resilient, and patient individual who is passionate about making a difference. The role is rewarding but comes with its challenges.
