Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker or looking to start your NHS career? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated and supportive team at Harbour, St Anns Hospital, Poole.
Harbour is a 16-bedded Male Treatment Ward for patients aged 18 to 64, providing care for various mental health conditions including Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder.
You will be motivated to make a real difference in the lives of people living with mental health illnesses. Respect, compassion, kindness, good interpersonal skills, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role. Experience in mental health is desirable but not essential, as full induction training and ongoing support will be provided. Opportunities for career development are also available.
This is a full-time position, with flexible consideration for part-time applications (minimum 22.5 hours).
Successful applicants will be invited to a values-based assessment and interview day at King Park Hospital on Friday 27th June. Full availability on this day is required.
Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribing to the DBS update service can provide a valid certificate instead of a new check.
You will need to complete a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course (Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:00). Successful completion is a condition of employment.
