Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Lindsay House service in Northampton. You will provide person-centred support to residents with severe mental health challenges, helping with daily living, medication management and community access.

Join a dedicated team at Albany House, a CQC-registered home, and play a key role in safeguarding, developing personalised support plans, and promoting independence and wellbeing through a compassionate, values-driven

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting.
• Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness.
• Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
• Commitment to our values and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one key-worker support and building positive, professional relationships
• Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
• Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
• Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
• Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups
• Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
• Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team
• Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues

Location: Northampton

Enhancement Additional Payments: £50 - Per sleep in (8 hours), £0.86 - Unsocial Hours, 1.5 x hourly rate - Bank Holiday

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Albany House – a CQC Registered home supporting with severe and enduring mental health challenges.

About Lindsay House

Our Lindsay House Service is a 17-bedmental health supported accommodation servicebased in Northampton. We provide accommodation and recovery-focused support for adults with a primary mental health diagnosis who need help to develop independence and manage their wellbeing. Our service offers personalised support with areas such as daily living skills, medication management, budgeting, cooking,accessing healthcare services, community involvement, and achieving personal recovery goals. Staff work closely with residents and local mental health teams to promote independence, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.
