We are located in a community setting near Didsbury Village, Manchester, with excellent transport links.
We care for 12 male and female service users experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, offering therapeutic packages of mental health rehabilitation to both informal and detained individuals under the Mental Health Act.
You will work alongside a diverse multi-disciplinary team including consultant psychiatrists, doctors, mental health nurses, art therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, support workers, project workers, and peer support workers. Your role involves developing therapeutic relationships with service users and helping them develop coping strategies and skills for independent living. Douglas House provides a unique environment with great results and a friendly, caring, and inclusive team.
We operate a self-rostering system, allowing flexibility to work around your commitments.
While health and social care experience or qualifications are desirable, we are willing to support the right candidate in gaining further qualifications. You must be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic about providing quality care, and possess strong people skills.
