Job summary

Derbyshire County Council’s Public Health Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Team is recruiting a Service Development Officer on a substantive full-time basis. The role focuses on reducing suicide stigma, improving mental health, and tackling inequalities in Derbyshire.

You will work with local partners to deliver the Derbyshire Public Health Strategy and Suicide Prevention Framework, engaging communities to improve wellbeing across the county.

• Experience in partnership working to achieve shared goals.
• Commitment to suicide prevention and reducing stigma.
• Ability to engage diverse communities and partners.
• Understanding the factors influencing mental health.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Public Health Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Team and Council colleagues.
• Support a Derbyshire Public Health Strategy focus and Derbyshire Suicide Prevention Framework.
• Champion the work in a range of settings and build lasting relationships with partners.
