ASAP start – Long-term position
Are you interested in supporting children with Special Needs?
Would you like to build your experience working with Complex Learning Disabilities?
One of the top specialist schools in Bristol for students with Autism is looking for a Graduate (Psychology would be great!) to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with complex Autism and Learning Disabilities. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. The SEN School is in Bristol, and this is a full-time long-term opportunity. The children are aged between 5 and 16 and will benefit from caring, empathetic, and engaging individuals passionate about supporting vulnerable members of our community. The school employs a therapeutic approach, meaning children engage in many activities outside of traditional lessons. Experience working with children or adults with Special Needs would be beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Psychology Graduates to work alongside therapists and psychologists on-site at the school. You will be mentored, shadow sessions, and learn from professionals, gaining invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This role is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
The ASD School seeks a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. They want a proactive, adaptable SEN TA who can use their own initiative. This is a great opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational/occupational/clinical psychologists, or therapists.
The children require a teaching assistant who understands their complex needs, is open-minded, and ready for a challenge. Needs vary, with Autism being the main focus. Suitable experience includes working with SEN children or adults in any setting, even personally (e.g., with family). Level 3 qualifications+ are required; a Degree is highly desirable.
