Job summary

Manchester Mind is recruiting a Mental Health Practitioner (Schools) to develop a service for young people in secondary schools and the community. You will join a team fostering relationships with young people, staff and partners to improve mental health outcomes across Manchester.

The post requires a graduate-level qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Youth & Community Work, with at least two years' experience supporting 11-18-year-olds and delivering psycho-social care.

Qualifications

• A relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Youth & Community Work (at graduate level).
• At least two years' experience of working with young people aged 11-18.
• Experience in providing effective individual support to young people under stress or with mental health difficulties.
• Awareness of the impact of mental health on the lives of young people.
• Experience delivering psycho-social support to young people with learning disabilities (DESIRABLE).
