Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Walsall Council, has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join their team.
Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner
Length of assignment: 3 Months
Hours per week: 37
Hourly rate: £30-£40
Remote/Office based: Hybrid - all therapeutic appointments will be face-to-face
We are looking to recruit therapists to work within our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.
You will be responsible for delivering psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers within Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and within groups. You will work with adults with significant and complex needs, focusing on engaging with parents regarding their mental health and well-being, while collaborating with the wider social care system involved with families.
Your responsibilities will include clinical assessment, formulation, and providing time-limited, evidence-based interventions within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.
You must identify the most appropriate mental health or psychological interventions for individuals, developing bespoke interventions for parents based on their mental health needs. This should be informed by professional knowledge and practice skills related to therapeutic models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, and systemic family therapy.
Applicants should have relevant experience and qualifications in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialties, including but not limited to trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.
Driving is essential for this role.
