Job summary

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Practice Educator to join the Neighbourhood, Public & Mental Health System in Liverpool. The post focuses on delivering high‑quality education for registered and unregistered staff, including Nurses, HCAs and AHPs, across Sunflower, EDYS and Crisis Team.

The role includes one clinical shift per week, development of education strategies, and collaboration with clinical teams to improve learning culture and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered RMN/LD Nurse or a registered Children's Nurse with MH/LD experience.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Post registration qualification in CAMHs or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective education programmes for nurses, HCAs and AHPs.
• Develop and maintain staff knowledge to keep the workforce fit for purpose.
• Support mandatory training compliance and education strategy implementation.
• Collaborate with education colleagues, clinical teams and external partners.
