Job summary

Alder Hey Children'S NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Practice Educator to provide educational support across Sunflower House, EDYS and Crisis Team, fostering high-quality learning for registered and unregistered staff including nurses, HCAs and Allied Health Professionals.

The role focuses on developing staff knowledge, maintaining competence, contributing to the education strategy, and promoting a positive learning culture across services, with one clinical shift per week to maintain

Qualifications

Essential: Registered RMN/LD Nurse or a registered Children's Nurse with additional training and experience within the field of Mental Health and/or Learning Disability.
Essential: Teaching qualification or willing to work towards.
Desirable: Post registration qualification in CAMHs or equivalent.

Responsibilities

To ensure good, safe and effective education programmes for nurses, HCAs and AHPs staff groups, also monitoring compliance with mandatory training.
To develop and maintain staff knowledge and skills in order to ensure that all staff employed within the system are fit for purpose and practice.
Assist in developing and implementing the system educational strategy for both registered and unregistered staff.
To promote educational partnerships with other education colleagues and other relevant agencies.
