A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Mental Health Nurse for their team at HMP New Hall, Wakefield. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, medication rounds, and treatment in a unique healthcare environment within the prison system. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our mental health team at HMP New Hall based in Wakefield.
HMP New Hall is a female adult and young offenders institution offering medium level of security with a population of 344 females. The team consists of a senior mental health nurse, LD nurse, mental health nurses and HCAs. The mental health team have an office based in within the healthcare department; however you will be mainly based on the prison wings conducting clinics, assessments days and dealing with case loads.
The site offers a 7 days service and rosters are done 1 month in advance.
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,232 - £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Qualifications required:
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
