Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor. You will assess how health conditions affect daily living, working in a hybrid model that blends home and centre days. The role emphasizes clinical reasoning, analysis, and detailed report writing with structured training provided.

The position targets clinicians with NMC/HCPC registration and UK clinical experience, offering stability, clear progression, and opportunities to develop in a non‑clinical capacity.

Formación

• NMC/HCPC registration or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient typing speed (approx. 35 WPM)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Ability to produce high‑quality written clinical reports

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you’ll do

face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner

Analyse medical evidence and clinical information

Produce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reports

Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks

Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities

What we’re looking for

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist

Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions

Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)

Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles

Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
