Medacs Healthcare in York is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor. This hybrid role leverages your nursing or allied health background to perform non-clinical assessments, analyse medical evidence, and produce structured, evidence-based reports.

You will work within clinical frameworks, engage in continuous training, and benefit from predictable hours with a focus on balance and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration without restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.

Are you an NMC‑ registered Nurse or HCPC‑ registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
