Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Lancashire is seeking a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) for children and adolescents. There are day or night shifts available, with a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for young people facing complex mental health needs.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering person-centred care, building therapeutic relationships with service users and families, and ensuring safe, best-practice care.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration as an RMN.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration (Must have completed preceptorship).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the Mental Health Act, safeguarding procedures, and NICE guidelines.
• Experience working in mental health, CAMHS, forensic, or crisis settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to young people, ensuring care is safe, effective, and tailored to individual needs.
• Build positive therapeutic relationships with young people, their families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Promote independence, choice, and empowerment, supporting young people to make informed decisions about their care.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, respect, and integrity in all aspects of practice.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
• Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding procedures, and all relevant policies and legislation.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture, sharing best practice and supporting colleagues where required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and deliver evidence-based care in line with current guidelines.
• Champion continuous improvement, helping to develop and enhance the quality and safety of the service.
