Are you an experienced Band 5 Nurse looking for the next step in your career or a current Band 6 seeking a fresh challenge? We have an exciting Mental Health Liaison opportunity in Central Manchester.

Join a fast-growing and developing service aligned with the Five Year Forward Plan for Mental Health and our transformation program. We are expanding our hospital liaison services at the Greater Manchester Mental Health Service.

We are recruiting Band 6 mental health practitioners at our busy Central Manchester site, from diverse professional backgrounds including perinatal, later life, and CAMHs.

You will be supported to develop as a mental health professional, building on your experience and knowledge. The role offers diverse learning opportunities within an experienced multidisciplinary team involved in research and service development.

Main duties of the job

As a key mental health provider in Greater Manchester, we aim to achieve parity between mental and physical health care through our CORE 24 Liaison Mental Health services. Our teams operate 24/7 in acute hospital and A&E settings, providing responsive mental health care through multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality mental health care, conducting person-centred assessments, providing advice, interventions, and care planning for a diverse patient population.

Job responsibilities

Shift patterns include:

  • Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any weekday after 8pm and before 6am
  • Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight)
