Shifts: Late shifts (13:00 - 19:00)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team for late (13:00 - 19:00) shifts within a respected and established NHS Trust in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and person-centred care to individuals with a range of mental health needs.
Support registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering care plans and therapeutic interventions.
Assist with daily living activities and promote independence where appropriate.
Ensure patient safety and dignity at all times, including the use of approved restraint techniques when necessary to manage challenging behaviours.
Accurately record observations and maintain up-to-date care documentation.
Requirements:
Restraint training (such as PMVA, MAPA, or equivalent) is essential.
NHS experience is mandatory please do not apply without prior NHS work history in a mental health setting.
Ability to work late (13:00 - 19:00) shifts consistently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to care.
Valid DBS on the update service.
