About Us:
Crostyx Hockey Club is a vibrant, friendly, and ambitious club based in Essex. We field 4 men’s teams, 3 ladies’ teams, and have a thriving junior section. Our home grounds include Lee Valley Hockey Centre and Ashton Playing Fields, and we are proudly affiliated with the Woodford Wells Sports Club. We’re known for our strong team spirit on and off the pitch, and we’re looking to build on recent successes as we grow across all levels. We are committed to competing at higher levels and fostering talent across all tiers.

The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced coach to lead our Men’s 1st Team, currently competing in the London Division 2 North league, and to provide training to the Men’s 2nd Team, currently competing in the London Division 3 North league. You’ll be working with a talented and committed group of players who are hungry to push themselves to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver weekly structured, high-quality mens performance coaching sessions for the Men’s 1st and 2nd teams.
2. Lead the Men’s 1st Team on match days (home and away fixtures, including friendlies and league games).
3. Support indoor hockey training and development for the adult indoor season.
4. Use performance data, video analysis, or regular 1-to-1 feedback sessions to guide player development.
5. Work closely with the 1st and 2nd team captains to align on squad strategy and selection.
6. Encourage and support the progression of youth players into senior hockey.

What We’re Looking For:

1. A Level 2 qualified coach (or working towards).
2. A minimum of 2–3 years’ coaching experience at a similar level.
3. A collaborative communicator who fosters positive relationships within and across teams.
4. A reliable and motivated individual with a passion for developing players and building team cohesion.
5. Experience working with both adult and youth players.
6. Relevant coaching experience for indoor hockey.
7. A current Safeguarding Children certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
