Men's First Team Head Coach

REWHC are seeking applications for the position of:

Men’s 1st Team Head Coach ahead of the 2025 / 26 season.

We are an ambitious club with a large membership base, part of the second cohort of clubs. Recently awarded England Hockey Talent Centre accreditation, and a desire to gain promotion to the National League. The club currently runs 8 Men’s teams, 5 Ladies teams and has a thriving youth/junior section.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring or experienced Head Coaches who want to lead one of the top clubs in the Midlands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coach Men’s 1st team and create performance environment within the club.
2. Design and implement a programme for Men’s elite section to include 1st Team, 2nd Team and emerging junior players. Collaborate closely with Men’s 2nd team coach around training and selection.
3. Two training sessions per week with league matches at weekends.
4. Work closely with REWHC committee on specific initiatives which support the club’s aspirations.
5. Take responsibility for pre-season training to include player recruitment, fixture schedules and fitness programmes.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Good communicator and willing to engage with all sections of the club.
2. Ability to create feedback culture.
3. Proactive planning and organisational skills.
4. Minimum Level 2 or equivalent England Hockey coaching qualification.
5. Successful experience or track record of coaching within a first team environment.

REMUNERATION

1. Salary subject to experience and qualifications.
