Job description

Based in Birmingham, Barford Tigers Hockey Club has 5 Men’s teams, 2 Adults Ladies teams and a thriving Junior section. The Men’s 1st Team currently plays in the National League.

Barford Tigers are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced individual to be the Ladies Head Coach and to help drive success on and off the pitch. There are currently 2 Ladies teams. The 1st Team currently plays in the Midlands Women’s Division 3 South West league and the 2nd Team was recently formed and has been playing in the development leagues. The role is a key part of the club’s long-term ambition to expand women’s participation and performance across all levels. The club is committed to continuing the development and growth of the Ladies section.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver an engaging and high-quality midweek coaching session to both teams on Tuesday evenings usually between 19.00-21.00

Attend match day games for the Ladies 1s on Saturdays and, where possible, the Ladies 2s, providing strategic support and guidance.

Provide development feedback to the squad and individual players, including clear de-briefs on training sessions and game performance.

Motivate and support players of all abilities and ambitions.

Help talented athletes push their game, guide juniors into senior hockey, and keep hockey fun for everyone!

Appropriate first aid and safeguarding training.
