Job summary

Macmillan Cancer Support is seeking a Fundraising Programme Manager (In Memory Giving) on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role is full-time 34.5 hours and hybrid, with 1 day per month in the office across London, Shipley, and Glasgow.

You’ll lead multi-channel giving and engagement, build relationships, manage budgets, and develop a direct report, delivering meaningful experiences for supporters in memory of loved ones.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver multiple projects, campaigns and activities, managing competing priorities, budgets and timelines to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, external partners and suppliers, bringing different perspectives together and influencing people towards shared goals.
• Champion the supporter experience, using empathy, sensitivity and good judgement when dealing with people in personal or emotionally sensitive situations.
• Manage budgets and resources, using performance information to understand what’s working and make informed decisions about where time, effort and investment should be focused.
• Lead and develop a direct report, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, supporting wellbeing and creating an inclusive environment where people can do their best work.
• Use data, insight and feedback to identify opportunities to improve our activity and turn learning into practical action.
• Manage partners and suppliers, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, resolving issues constructively and ensuring we achieve the right quality, service and value.
• Build your specialist knowledge, understanding relevant policies, legal and ethical considerations and knowing when to seek advice from colleagues with specialist expertise.
• Help create an environment where equity, diversity and inclusion are embedded in the way we work and where everyone feels respected and able to contribute.
