Job summary

We are seeking a Part-time Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Gwynedd and Anglesey Memory Assessment Service in Bangor. Fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave, 30 hours per week (Tue–Fri, 9:00–17:00) with some flexibility. Competitive pro rata salary £40,559–£48,841.

The post involves autonomous care, home visits, and MDT involvement within a large rural area. Welsh language ability is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Health Professional (RMN) with appropriate UK professional registration.
• Supervisory experience in mental health settings.
• Ability to lead a team and demonstrate clinical and management leadership.
• Appropriate training in older persons mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead an area of the MAS in the absence of the manager.
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Autonomously conduct home visits and participate in MDT discussions.
