An exciting 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen for a mental health nurse to join us as a B6 MA Nurse in Memory Assessment Service (MAS) working across both Wrexham and Flintshire sites.
We will provide you with the opportunity to develop transferrable skills - to become specialised in the assessment process by further developing your assessment techniques whilst carrying out indepth first line assessments; collecting and collating information in an appropriate format to present to your MDT colleagues; sharing and discussing sensitive information as well as participating in the diagnostic process; providing knowledge and support during those early days of diagnosis as well as being involved with initial therapeutic group/ individual work. We want to support you in your career and give you opportunities to progress.
The role will require a mix of nursing skills from a range of professional specialist areas – Primary Care, Liaison, Adult Mental Health and Older Person’s Mental Health. As the B6 you will be expected to lead an area of the MAS in the absence of the manager.
