Job summary

Schlumberger Limited in Cambridge invites applications for an internship in Membrane Materials Development within the Enabling Materials program. The project is experimental and lab-based, focusing on membrane materials preparation, permeation testing, and characterization.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team of scientists, carry out experiments, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Oral and written communication skills in English.
• Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity.
• Good fundamental laboratory skills.
• Basic data analysis skills (e.g. Excel).

Responsibilities

• Planning and carrying out experimental work, ensuring labs meet Health & Safety standards.
• Analyzing and interpreting experimental datasets.
• Participating in regular meetings to discuss project progress.
• Writing technical reports and presenting to peers.
• Assisting with laboratory housekeeping.
