Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd. seeks an experienced MEICA Project Engineer to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UK.

The role focuses on coordinating MEICA activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery in line with project specifications and client requirements. You will liaise with project teams, suppliers and clients, review technical documentation, and oversee site installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate MEICA engineering activities across water and wastewater projects.
• Support the delivery of mechanical and electrical installations, instrumentation and control systems.
• Liaise with project managers, site managers, design engineers, subcontractors and clients.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, design documentation and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and assist in implementing solutions.
• Ensure all engineering works are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications and relevant standards.
• Coordinate site installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are adhered to throughout the project.
• Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS, inspection and test plans, and technical documentation.
• Manage technical queries, design changes and site engineering issues.
• Monitor materials, equipment and subcontractor activities to ensure works progress in line with the project programme.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide regular progress updates to the project management team.
• Support the commissioning process and ensure all relevant documentation is completed for project handover.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced MEICA Project Engineer to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the water industry, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) systems.

You will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, managing technical aspects of project delivery and ensuring all works are completed safely, on time and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and client requirements.
