Job summary

Morson Edge in the United Kingdom is recruiting an experienced MEICA Estimator to support major water and wastewater projects in the Southern region. You will develop project scopes, engage with suppliers, and prepare cost plans to back competitive bids from concept through to contract award.

You'll work with project and delivery teams to ensure tender accuracy, manage subcontractor quotations, and assist during mobilisation to ensure a smooth transition to delivery.

Qualifications

MEICA Estimator - Southern Region | Full-Time | Permanent

I’m working with a leading UK infrastructure contractor that is expanding its MEICA team and is looking for an experienced MEICA Estimator to support the delivery of major water and wastewater projects across the Southern region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured AMP8 work, where you’ll play a key role in developing competitive tenders and supporting the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects from concept through to contract award.

The Role

As a MEICA Estimator, you will be responsible for producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation projects within the water sector. Working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams, you will develop project scopes, engage with suppliers and subcontractors, assess technical requirements and produce accurate cost plans to support successful bids. You will also provide support during project mobilisation, ensuring a smooth transition from tender stage to project delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a MEICA Estimator, Mechanical Estimator, Electrical Estimator or Proposals Engineer.
• Strong understanding of MEICA systems, equipment and installation practices.
• Experience within the water and wastewater sector.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Knowledge of water treatment and wastewater treatment processes.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and framework delivery models.
• Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• HNC, HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Desirable

• Knowledge of estimating software such as Candy.
• SMSTS or SSSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid Qualification.
• EUSR Water Hygiene.
