Pearson is seeking an External Examiner (EE) for MedTech for England (2026) RQF to monitor centre compliance with Pearson quality assurance for Higher National programmes and to support delivery to national standards.

The role involves sampling of assessed student work, reporting outcomes, and providing guidance to centres. Candidates should have extensive HN teaching experience and recent IQA leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills.
• Good working knowledge of the specifications that comprise the area of expertise for the role.
• A customer-focused approach; able to meet deadlines and develop clear action plans.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Carry out sampling of assessed student work within defined parameters to ensure alignment with Pearson HN standards.
• Provide sampling-related support and development to centres.
• Produce reports detailing sampling outcomes and actions taken.
• Apply appropriate sanctions in consultation with the team lead where standards are not met.
• Support centres in implementing identified actions and improvements.
• Assist SEE in sourcing materials for training and standardisation.
